About Your Coach

As a psychotherapist, I hold a Master's Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Seattle University. This is a three-year degree that included two years of psychotherapeutic training and clinical internship, as well as one additional year of nondenominational spirituality, including the spirituality of agnosticism, atheism, and 12-step programs.

My clinical specialties include working with intellectual giftedness and individuals with Autism Spectrum or spouses of such individuals.

Because of my frequent writing on subjects related to relationships and Autism Spectrum, I began to receive letters from individuals and couples in all states of the USA, as well as from other countries, seeking my help. I was always heartbroken when I had to tell them I could not work with anyone outside the boundaries of my own state of Washington.

That is when I developed my coaching practice, which is separate and distinct from psychotherapy. These differences are clarified on the About Personal Coaching page of this web site.

Working as a life coach with a special interest in AS allows me to open my practice to everyone. Through online sessions or on the telephone, we can work together at a time convenient to you and without a need for you to leave the comfort and privacy of your own home or office. Our sessions are scheduled in advance and typically occur on the same day at the same time each week.

I am a member of Mensa, the international association for individuals whose intelligence on standardized IQ tests places them at least in the top 2%. What this means to you is that you can count on me to understand your situation and your needs, and to hear both what you are saying and what you are not saying or are unable to say.

Besides English, I also speak Italian, German, and French. I am most comfortable conducting sessions in English, but if one of these other languages is your native language, please know that if your English is conversational, we can also use your language at times when you might find it easier to express a thought or feeling that way, and I will do my best to understand the connotation of what you are saying.

Before entering this field, I served for eleven years as a docent at the Seattle Art Museum. I had a novel published. I am also the mother of two gifted daughters, both of whom are in healthy and life-enhancing relationships. I spend time in northern Italy, which I consider my second home.

Online sessions are conducted from Washington or from Italy with equal facility. Therefore, regardless of where I am, I am always available to you. You can access the virutal office on any device from anywhere in the world.
